Who we are and what we do…
Health Equity Associates (HEA) is a limited liability corporation with offices in Havre de Grace, Maryland and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. HEA performs services, creates products and also acts as a catalyst or broker by pulling together teams specially designed to meet a client’s needs.
HEA’s strengths are in community mobilization, coalition building, community health assessments, evaluation, policy development, project management, strategic planning, management consulting, workforce development, leadership development, and building of organizational capacity.
Why we do what we do…
HEA exists because it is clearly unacceptable that poor, oppressed and vulnerable people bear a disproportionate share of the disease burden. HEA acts as a bridge between populations and systems, helping to build coalitions needed to create system change. HEA also builds individual skills and organizational systems needed in order to increase access to quality care, prevention and education. HEA assist communities in determining what health equity they wish to create providing them with tools and processes needed to achieve their vision of health.
HEA Associates…
Associates of HEA are mainly mid- and senior level public health professionals
dedicated to creating health equity for all. HEA associates conduct themselves
with the highest possible professional standards. They seek to build and strengthen relationships; always lifting up their partners.
